Our Team

Eric Sorenson

Eric has worked in Real Estate Management since 2008 where he was an Asset Manager and lead Financial Analyst over a $750 million portfolio of debt and real estate assets. Eric has overseen the acquisition, management, and disposition of hundreds of transactions and is experienced in all phases of Real Estate investment.

Beyond his work with Rhapsody Ventures, Eric is active in private equity investment and volunteers as an advisor to the Sorenson Impact Foundation, a fund dedicated to improving the world by helping social enterprises develop sustainable, scalable solutions that maximize positive impact.

Eric holds a degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.  He is an avid pianist and a proud husband and father of three

Jacob Morley​

Jacob Morley

Prior to joining Rhapsody, Jacob worked as tax associate for a large public accounting firm. He is a licensed CPA and provides accounting and financial oversight for the assets in Rhapsody’s portfolio.

Jacob holds a master’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.

Jake Hodson​

Jake Hodson

Jake has a rich background in real estate and development. He began his career as a draftsman for a development company and earned his degree in urban planning from the University of Utah.

From there, Jake oversaw the development of a 1000+ ac master-planned community as a project manager. In 2008, he transitioned to the lead asset manager for a $750 million portfolio of debt and real estate assets.

Eventually, Jake made his way to Rhapsody where he specializes today in acquisitions and management. Among his many passions, Jake also volunteers as an advisor to the Sorenson Impact Foundation, a fund dedicated to leading the way in social-based investments.
Mark Fenton​

Mark Fenton

Mark Fenton has been a managing partner at Rhapsody Ventures since 2011. As a member of the management team, he oversees the sourcing of investment opportunities, performing due diligence, and structuring and closing of capital transactions, among other duties.
Prior to Rhapsody Ventures, Mark managed a portfolio of value-add real estate investments throughout the midwestern United States. Previously, he was with a small lending firm where he oversaw and managed auto loans.
Mark graduated from the University of Utah. When he’s not with his family, you can find him running through the Wasatch mountains, participating in a long-distance race.
